From 24 to 26 October 2025 the first edition of Agorà Festival will take place in Cesena, conceived, designed and organised by Editori Laterza and promoted by the Municipality of Cesena, with the participation of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena and the Chamber of Commerce of Romagna, and with the contribution of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

 

Agorà Festival aims to be a large square of ideas, a transversal and inclusive meeting space, an event addressed to a wide and diversified audience in terms of age, interests, and affiliations.

An open yard of analysis, comparisons, ideas and projects.

Without fences, without disciplinary boundaries, with the participation of many protagonists of Italian public life, the most qualified scholars from various disciplines, journalists and popularisers. The appointments will take place in the 'A.

Bonci' Theatre, the Sozzi Room of the Palazzo del Ridotto and the Malatesta Library.

 

This first edition of the Festival is dedicated to the theme: FRAGILITY: THE CHALLENGES OF THE PRESENT.

The etymology of the word 'fragility' refers us to the Latin verb frangere, which indicates a process of rupture and loss of unity, the shattering, the disappearance of integrity and identity.

And it is curious how it is precisely this word with such ancient roots that well describes what we have become at the start of this millennium.
